(Second week of July 2024)
A Relaxing and amazing weekend on John and Cindy's place. Friday afternoon, I was picked up at Le Nivot by Cindy. We went to the school of their kids Mila and Willow to pick them, then we continued our journey to their house, I settled my things in the bedroom they prepared for me, then I get dressed because we are going to watch the theater of John and Cindy's children and other pupils at the school, while travelling I can see to the face of the children the excitement for the show, we arrived at school and the parents in the school are very welcoming. The show started, and even though I can't understand the language, I enjoyed seeing the kids enjoying their play, after the play, we went outside to have some drinks and dinner.
Saturday, we didn't do much because it was a rest day, Willow is a very lively kid he took me to see their garden and fruit plants, and then we went to their calves and sheep to give them milk, and he also showed their other big cows I was impressed by his enthusiasm, then back to their house I cooked some rice and egg for my meal because I really missed rice. A Joyful afternoon their friends visited their house, then John cooked pizza then Cindy cooked strawberry pie and we enjoyed the moment talking and sharing experiences until evening.
Sunday, in the morning, we went to their friend's house to surprise him on his birthday together with their other friends, we had some delicious meals and had some drinks together then played with the children with the bikes, seeing their friendship really touched me it made me think of my friend in the Philippines, I wonder what they are doing, and what is going on to their lives. Afternoon we went to another place for walking with other friends, we walked and climbed small mountain and I wrote my name on the big stone on top of that little mountain, the we continue walking and had some picnic, enjoying the moment with each other, after that we went home and had some rest and during resting I taught Mila and Willow some tagalog words, they want to learn it because they want to go to Philippines in the future, “short stay yet full of memories” that’s what I’m thinking that time.
Monday morning, I was greet by the kids they say “ Magandang Umaga” means good morning, it makes me feel happy because they remember what I taught them, then we had our breakfast together and the kids are very sad because I have to leave, I went with them to take them to school and say my goodbye to them. We went home and I waited for Marie Jo to pick me up at John and Cindy’s place to go to Jean Paul and Christine Madec’s place.
